Influencer media kit: what to include, and how to keep it current

A media kit is your pitch deck for brands. Here are the sections brands look for, how to present your rates in rupees, and why a live link beats a PDF.

Quick answer

An influencer media kit should include: a short intro and photo, your platforms and follower counts, average views or reach, engagement rate, audience demographics, a rate card, past brands, and a way to contact you. Date your numbers, and keep the kit at a link you can update rather than a PDF.

The 8 sections every media kit needs

1. Intro and photo

One or two sentences: who you are, your niche and who watches you. "Telugu tech reviewer helping first-time buyers pick phones under ₹30,000" tells a brand more than "content creator".

2. Platforms and follower counts

List each platform with your handle and current followers or subscribers. Put your strongest platform first.

3. Views and reach

Average views per reel or video and monthly reach matter more to most brands than followers. Use the same period for every number, such as the last 30 days.

4. Engagement rate

Engagement shows whether your audience acts on what you post. A common formula is likes plus comments divided by reach (or by followers), shown as a percentage. Say which formula you use.

5. Audience demographics

Top cities or countries, age range and gender split, taken from your Instagram or YouTube analytics. This is how a brand checks you reach its customers.

6. Rate card

List each deliverable with a starting price in rupees, for example a reel, a story set, an integrated YouTube segment or a dedicated video. Note that usage rights, exclusivity and rush deadlines are quoted separately.

7. Past brands and results

Names or logos of brands you have worked with, plus one or two outcomes (views, clicks, sales or a quote from the brand). Even two or three past collaborations build trust.

8. Contact and next step

End with a clear way to reach you: an inquiry form, an email, or both. Ask for the brief, budget and timeline up front so you can reply with a quote quickly.

Frequently asked questions

Should I put my rates in my media kit?

Starting rates save time and filter out brands with no budget. Use "starting from" prices in rupees and quote higher for usage rights, exclusivity or rush work.

How often should I update my media kit?

At least once a month, and before any big pitch. A live link makes this a two-minute job; with synced stats it updates itself.

Do I need a media kit with a small following?

Yes. Brands working with micro creators look closely at engagement and audience fit, and a clear kit shows you are ready to work with.
